With banking as a lifelong career, Jamie says her greatest joy is making someone else’s life easier by helping them with their finances. She spent her first 17 years working with individual bank customers, then several more years working with business customers in the INB treasury department.

Today, Jamie helps bank operations run smoothly behind the scenes as VP, Deposit Operations for INB.

“After working more than 20 years on the ‘front end’ of the bank, I’m excited to have experience on both sides,” she says. “Without deposit operations running smoothly, it would severely impact our customers. Everything that happens to customer accounts on a daily basis funnels through our department. It’s our daily goal to keep our online system and app up and running to make our employees’ and customers’ lives easier.”

When Jamie says she’s done it all in banking, she has.  She started as a part-time teller when she was only 17, a senior at Lanphier High School.  The proud Northender attended Lincoln Land Community College, but never gave up her banking job.  When she moved to INB just three months after the bank opened in 1999, she was a teller and banker . . . as well as housekeeper and doorman.  “We all wore so many hats in those days,” she remembers.

In addition to working with retail customers and managing retail staff, Jamie has become a valued INB employee for her ability to take on special projects.  When mortgage interest rates plummeted in 2011, it was all hands on deck at INB, and Jamie learned how to underwrite home loans.  In 2009, she successfully took on and implemented for INB the Home Affordable Modification Program mandated by the Obama Administration.

Jamie is always one of the first INB employees to volunteer to charity work. She’s passionate for the disabled community and young, and devotes her time to organizations centered around these groups.

While she’s extremely enthusiastic about her job, Jamie’s even more excited to talk about her family. She’s been married to her high school-sweetheart, Brandon, since 2004, however they have been a pair since 1996, and they now reside in Sherman. She spends most of her free time today watching her son and daughter, Braylon and Jayla, play sports. She loves to travel with her family and enjoys scrapbooking, baking/cooking, and running if she has time.

Jamie is a St. Louis Cardinal and Miami Dolphin fan and can be found supporting her local Williamsville Bullets sports. She also serves as treasurer for her son’s nonprofit baseball organization, Batbusters Baseball. In 2018, Jamie was the recipient of Springfield Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award.
