Long before receiving a Bachelor's in Finance from SIU Carbondale and then an MBA from UIS, Mark credits his approach to problem-solving to growing up and working on the family farm with his two brothers in rural Gibson City, IL. Since joining INB in 2002, Mark has maintained his pragmatic approach in helping businesses, small and large, find solutions to fund projects, purchases, acquisitions, and other asset related transactions. As Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending, Mark has witnessed the success of many businesses in the central Illinois region. Seeing his clients' businesses gain market share and succeed over the competition is one of the motivating factors in his role at INB.

Mark has been married to his beautiful wife, Lara, a Springfield native, since 2010, and they have two children, Maggie and Calvin. Outside of his job, Mark enjoys sports such as basketball and golf, as well as playing the piano and working on home improvement projects. Mark has served local numerous charities over the years, including Leadership Springfield, Vachel Lindsay Foundation, and Sparc. He currently serves proudly on the board of directors for Girl Scouts of Central Illinois, which inspires and empowers young girls to grow to their fullest potential.
