Throughout his college years, Steve Keenan thought he wanted to go into the golf business.

After a stint as assistant at the pro shop for Panther Creek Country Club, he realized that golf would make a better hobby than career, and he jumped into the banking industry.

Steve grew up in Williamsville and received his degree in business marketing from Marian College in Indianapolis. In 1993, he took a job at Bank One. He later spent six years managing a finance company and then accepted a position at Marine Bank.

In 2011, Steve joined INB’s commercial lending team. He is now the market manager for eight lenders in four different cities. 

“The best part of this job is continuing to maintain all of the long time relationships I have established over my 25 years with my customers,” he says. “Having mutual trust between business owners and a banker is pretty special.”

Steve is married to Heather and has four children: Brooke is a recent college graduate, Drew attends Illinois State University, and Alex and Hope go to Williamsville Junior High School. Steve’s time outside of the office is usually spent at his kids’ year-round sporting events. He also enjoys cheering on the Chicago Cubs, and he still loves to play a round on the golf course!
