For Max Mitts, it is the ideals of entrepreneurship that drive his passion for commercial lending. Working as VP, Commercial Lending, for INB’s Chesterfield (Missouri) office enables him to spend time with the owners of local businesses, providing solutions and helping them thrive.

“Small to medium-sized business owners are my absolute most favorite people to communicate with and learn from,” he says. “The entrepreneurial spirit that drives our United States motivates me to provide excellent customer service and solutions to the most important group of people on this earth.”

Prior to joining INB, Max gained 25 years of banking experience and has an extensive background in working with the SBA, commercial credit, treasury management and C&I banking.

Max grew up in the St. Louis region and attended CBC High School. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southeast Missouri State University and was a starting pitcher on their baseball team. He also served as a JROTC Company Captain, Drill Team expert and sharpshooter. He then received his master’s degree from Lindenwood University.

Max lives in St. Charles, Missouri, with his wife Michelle and their two children, Leanna and Joseph. He is highly active in the local community, serving organizations that include Habitat for Humanity, O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce, Greater St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, United Way Diversity Group and The Knights of Columbus.

Whenever possible, Max loves to be outside watching and playing baseball, golfing, hunting and admiring nature. He has always been active and self-disciplined – and holds some impressive athletic records: bowling a 300, scoring a hole-in-one in golf, and pitching a perfect baseball game!
