Rhonda Lash was born and raised in Mattoon, but wanted a change of scenery for her college years. She attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she received her degree in biology – and much warmer weather year-round than in Illinois!

Rhonda worked for Macy’s for nearly 20 years, which eventually brought her back to east-central Illinois to open the Macy’s in Champaign. She then managed an advertising agency before finding her way into mortgage lending, which she loves.

“I enjoy helping people with the biggest purchase of their life. I love working with first-time homebuyers and educating them on what’s possible. But even people who have previously purchased a home still have a lot of questions,” she says.

Rhonda and her husband have two college-aged sons and a beloved dog, Grace. The family enjoys spending time with friends, eating out at the many restaurants in the Champaign area, and getting to their cabin home in northern Minnesota as often as they can.

Rhonda also serves on the board of Courage Connection, a nonprofit organization supporting victims of domestic violence.

As mortgage loan officer for INB’s Champaign office, Rhonda is impressed by INB’s collaborative culture and productivity. Getting people into their new home is her ultimate goal, and she is thrilled to work with a variety of people to make that happen, from fellow INB staff to realtors, title companies and especially clients.

“I’m very much a people person; that’s one of the reasons I came to INB,” Rhonda shares. “I have been amazed at the partnerships at INB, and it’s really exciting for me to join a company that puts their energy and staff resources into making things happen for our customers.”
