A Springfield native, Jennifer Gardner has always enjoyed the Central Illinois community.

She attended Illinois State University and graduated with degrees in Finance and Marketing. She and her husband Frank met while studying at ISU, and after marrying upon graduation, the couple moved to Chicago. In Chicago, she worked at Northern Trust Bank in Corporate Trust Administration.

A move took them back to Jennifer’s hometown of Springfield in 1995, and she accepted a job at First of America (now PNC) as a Personal Trust Officer.  When her first child was born in 1998, she decided to take on a new role as a stay-at-home mom. Jennifer and her husband are now blessed with five wonderful children: Daniel (19), Isabel (17), Mary Claire (13), Catherine (11), and Tommy (8).

In February 2014, she reentered the work force, and she is now employed as a Trust Officer at Illinois National Bank. “INB is the first community bank I have worked for; I enjoy the friendly work environment and really like the that decisions are made locally,” she says.

In addition to her career, Jennifer remains active in leadership and community organizations. She has completed the Leadership Springfield program and volunteers for local nonprofits. She is a member of the Illinois Women in Leadership, the King’s Daughters Organization Progress Circle, and the local chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. Jennifer’s family belongs to Blessed Sacrament Parish, where her three youngest attend school. She enjoys her job at INB, volunteering and attending all of her children’s many activities.
